What do I need to bring? All you need to know before attending ACE!

If your child is planning to attend an ACE Summer Camp, it's important to pack the right items to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. In this blog, we will discuss the essential items to bring along to ACE Summer Camps, taking into consideration the weather and various activities.

  1. Water: Staying hydrated is crucial, especially during hot summer days filled with physical activities. Remember to pack a reusable water bottle that can be refilled throughout the day Drinking enough water will help prevent dehydration and keep energy levels up, allowing campers to fully participate and enjoy the activities.

  2. Lunch: ACE Summer Camps typically have two significant breaks during the day, which means campers will need enough sustenance to keep them energized. Pack a nutritious and balanced lunch, including sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, and snacks. Consider including items that are easy to eat and won't spoil quickly. A well-fueled camper is more likely to have the energy and enthusiasm to engage in camp activities.

  3. Cap: Protecting oneself from the sun is essential to prevent sunburn and heatstroke. A cap or a hat with a wide brim can shield the face, neck, and ears from harmful UV rays. Opt for lightweight and breathable materials to ensure comfort while participating in outdoor activities. We encourage campers to wear their caps throughout the day, especially during outdoor excursions and sports activities.

  4. Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a must-have item for any outdoor summer activity. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF (Sun Protection Factor) to shield the skin from harmful UV radiation. Coaches will remind them to reapply it every few hours.

  5. Rain Jacket: Weather can be unpredictable, even during the summer months. Pack a lightweight and waterproof rain jacket or poncho to be prepared for unexpected rain showers. A rain jacket will keep campers dry and comfortable during outdoor activities, ensuring that they can continue to have fun, even in wet conditions.
